Your luxurious journey begins around 7:00 AM at the Delhi Safdarjung train station, where you’ll complete check-in process. After a warm welcome, you’ll be escorted to your comfortable cabin onboard the Maharajas’ Express. As the train gracefully departs at 8:15 AM, you can savour a delicious breakfast while embarking on your adventure towards Agra, the “City of Mughals.”

Later, a comprehensive tour briefing will be given onboard to familiarize you with the itinerary for the coming days, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience on your exciting journey.

By afternoon, you’ll arrive in Agra for your first monument visit—the iconic Taj Mahal, a symbol of love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan constructed this architectural masterwork in remembrance of his beloved queen, Mumtaz Mahal. The whole structure is made entirely of white marble, featuring beautiful inlay work and marble screens.

Agra’s history extends far beyond the Taj Mahal. It was once the seat of the Mughal Empire, a powerful dynasty that ruled India for centuries. This rich heritage is evident in the city’s majestic forts and bustling bazaars. As you explore, don’t miss Agra’s famous petha, a sweet local treat made from candied vegetables.

After exploring the Taj Mahal, you’ll be escorted back to the royal chariot. Alternatively, you can opt to participate in the optional activities. Our guest Relations Executive will be delighted to assist you in arranging these activities.

Monday, Day 2 – Agra and Ranthambore

Continue your Agra execution with an early morning video of the majestic Agra Fort, a reminder of the city’s Mughal legacy. After learning about its history, return to the Maharajas’ Express and enjoy a relaxed, tantalizing breakfast onboard as you move towards your next destination, Ranthambore National Park. Lunch will be served onboard during your journey.

Upon arrival in Ranthambore, be ready for a thrilling game drive in the former hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur, now a national park. The park was declared as Ranthambore National Park in 1973. The park is spread over 1,334 square km and has a unique topography, including rivers, lakes, cliffs, and rocky terrain, creating diverse habitats for various wildlife. Keep your eyes open for Bengal Tigers, elusive leopards, and other animals like spotted deer, sambar deer, chital, chinkara, nilgai, sloth bear, wild boar, hyena and jackal.

Remember, spotting a Bengal Tiger is a proper stroke of luck on these open jeep safaris, which offer an inimitable experience but can be bumpy and dusty. Don’t forget to pack some warm clothes for winter.

As the sun sets, return to the comfort of Maharajas’ Express and enjoy your freshly made delicious dinner as the train sets continues its journey towards the ‘Pink City’ Jaipur.

Tuesday, Day 3 – Jaipur

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast on board the Maharajas Express as you approach Jaipur, the “Pink City.” The city is a vibrant blend of ancient and modern, offering a rich tapestry of royal palaces, historic forts, and colourful bazaars.

Upon arrival. A grand traditional welcome befitting royalty sets the tone for your exciting exploration of the Jaipur tour. Your excursion will start with a visit to the Amber Fort, sitting within picturesque, rugged hills. The fort is an interesting fusion of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Built-in 1592 by Raja Man Singh I and completed by Mirja Raja Singh, the fort is primarily constructed from white marble and red sandstones. While the fort’s exterior emanates rugged magnificence, the interior sanctum reveals a paradise of art and architecture. The timeless charm and the romantic aura of this majestic fort- palace will surely mesmerize you.
A short jeep ride will take you to the fort, where you will explore the royal apartments, offering a stunning view of the gorge. Step back into the Mughal era as you explore the Chamber of Mirrors (Sheesh Mahal) and the Hall of Victory.
Following your exploration, return to the Maharajas’ Express for onboard lunch. Post lunch, relax in the comfort of your cabin or participate in exciting optional activities (details available from the Guest Relations Executive).

Later in the evening, head to the Rambagh Palace Hotel for an exclusive, delicious dinner. Steeped in history, this magnificent palace has stood tall for 189 years. Once the home of the Maharaja of Jaipur, the palace now graces the city as a luxurious hotel.

Even now, the palace holds its royal majesty, attracting tourists with hand-carved marble latticework and expensive, intricately designed gardens.

With lingering memories of your royal dining experience, board the Maharajas’ Express by 9:00 PM as the train departs for Bikaner.

Wednesday, Day 4- Bikaner

Enjoy a scenic journey through the countryside with a flavourful breakfast on board.
Upon reaching the desert citadel of Bikaner, you can either relax in your cabins while enjoying the view or participate in optional activities. Our Guest Relations Executive will assist you in arranging these activities.

After your optional tour, return to the train for a delectable lunch. After that, disembark and head to the Junagarh Fort, an impressive fortress constructed by Raja Rai Singh in 1593 AD. Encircled by a moat and a defensive wall, its striking exterior displays strength and resilience. However, the interior of the fortress holds a real treasure. Stepping inside, you’ll be dazzled by the Diwan-i-khas, Hawa Mahal, Phool Mahal (Flower Palace), Anup Mahal and Badal Mahal.

Afterwards, experience royal pageantry as you are escorted on a Sundowner excursion to the Sand Dunes, where a convoy of camel carts adorned with colourful fabrics awaits, accompanied by musicians. Enjoy an exclusive cocktail evening at the Khaas Bagh Hotel as the day draws to a close. The hotel serves a collection of delicious Marwar culinary delights with pleasant ambience.

Following the lovely evening, head back to the Maharajas Express to continue your tour to scenic Udaipur.

After that, discover the Crystal Gallery and Darbar Hall with the aid of an audio guide.
